Low emission zone (LEZ)

The Comic Art Hotel is located in a low-emission zone. We strongly recommend that you check in advance whether your vehicle is allowed into this area.

Route

If you are not carrying any heavy luggage, we recommend you to first drive your car to one of the public parking lots and then walk to the hotel by foot. This is because the distance from the hotel to the public parking lot is considerably longer by car (due to detours around the car-free zone) than the distance you will cover by foot, which is only 600 meters. If you prefer to drive directly to the hotel ayway, just follow your GPS to the hotel. Make sure you avoid the little square across the street from our hotel at any given time. It’s called the Lievekaai and there are police cameras on both sides. From thereon you’d be trespassing in the residential part of the Patershol district.

To reach the public car parks, you don’t have to go through a car-free zone (and therefore don’t need a permit). The nearest parkings can be found in Zone Vrijdagmarkt and Zone Korenmarkt, not far from our hotel.

Parking Ramen: €15 per 24h (600 meters from the hotel)
Parking Sint-Michiels: €26 per 24h (800 meters from the hotel)

Both you and your bicycle are very much welcome at our hotel. You can store your bike for free on our spacious courtyard that will be closed off from the street at night, or in one of our storage rooms might you prefer a roof over its head. Our receptionists will be happy to inform you about the various cycling routes in and around Ghent. After all, cycling is and forever will be the most beloved branch of sports in our beautiful Flanders region!
